Spring into Art - Spring 2020

For ages 7 – 10
Spring into Art is a mixed media class designed to inspire the young child’s artistic talents. The students will develop their art skills with a variety of mediums. We will create a new project every week that can be proudly displayed. This session, the class will make a rainbow clay pot, draw bunnies in a garden using charcoal and paint a dragonfly with watercolors. The children will continue celebrating Spring creating projects with printmaking materials, oil pastels and markers.
Instructor: Kim Fondiller, Tuesdays 5:00 p.m. – 6:15 p.m. @ Century High School. $125 for 8 classes

Instructor Biography

Kim Fondiller

Kim Fondiller is a native of Baltimore and has lived in Eldersburg with her husband and son for nine years. She has a Bachelor’s Degree in Art and Design from Towson University. Although she enjoys many mediums, she especially enjoys working with stained glass. She has been working with stained glass using the copper foil method for ten years. The last three years she worked at Camp Milldale as an art teacher and Arts Camp director. Currently she is working on pieces for the upcoming Liberty High craft show, and looks forward to giving new students an enjoyable experience in stained glass.

To get to the art room, enter the High School through the doors on the west side of the building (closest to auditorium and Gymnasium).  Turn left at the first corridor  (you will pass behind the auditorium and band room).  When you reach the end of the corridor, go right.  The Art room is halfway down the corridor on the left side.

Course Materials

Materials for this course are included in the tuition.  We will use a variety of materials such as watercolor, pencil, pastels, and clay
